Hi guys, I hope all of you had a happy holiday.
Today I found this branding exercise and wanted to share with you.
The Russian city of Yaroslavl (Ярославль), located about 250km northeast of Moscow, shows a new look since the end of last December.
This identity has been made by the studio Art Lebedev Studio (www.artlebedev.com), who have also designed the logo of Perm in 2011 (http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/perm/logo/)
According to the study staff, the brand seeks to represent a stylized letter “Я” city name in Russian: Ярославль.
This is a plain and simple mark, but very effective, especially when it is transformed to assume different color codes, suggestive forms and even photographic images.
It is a brand that I like because it gives a lot of play and is very versatile. Besides applications are really well executed. It is always interesting to see the branding is done for other latitudes
